Sanonda Australia came about in late 1993 from the realisation of its founder, Karl Macheroux, that the great majority of the Australian Generic Agrochemicals had been almost exclusively marketed and controlled by big Multinational Companies in association with the so called "Buying Groups" (Distribution and/or Retail Networks). Back in the early 1990's the Australian growers and many independent rural merchants became more and more dissatisfied with the ever rising input costs and with dismaying marginal profit margins associated with the sale of almost all generic farm chemicals.
	Shortly before Sanonda managed to pass through  the established supply and distribution "phalanx"  the retail price for example for a 450 g/L Glyphosate 20L drum was around the A$ 240 to 260 mark. Sanonda sold its first production run of Sanos 450 at A$ 175.- directly to its retail customers. As from the very start in the 1993/94 season till today Sanonda has been offering budget priced generic agrochemicals directly to the retail stores, wholesalers, councils and other state- and federal government bodies.
